The North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center presents a one mile fun run on Friday, September 10th at McLean Park at Oak Drive and 2nd Avenue North. A concert begins the evening at 5 p.m. and the race start time is 6 p.m. Get more information online at www.nmb.us/afc
September 11th is the date for the annual North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center Triathalon in North Myrtle Beach. Participants will swim, bike and run in this very competitive event. Complete information is online at www.nmb.us/afc
The North Myrtle Beach Lions Club presents its 9th annual Candlelight vigil and 9 1 1 Memorial service at the Horseshoe in Ocean Drive. The event begins at 7 p.m. on September 11th with a parachute jump, Rolling Thunder and the candlelight vigil.
The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach presents its 6th Annual "Paws Across the Water" Duck Race at Barefoot Landing on Saturday, September 11th beginning at 11:30 a.m. It's a day of fun and there are tremendous prizes offered for participants. So, go to Barefoot on September 11th, buy a duck and have a great time!
A free blood screening is being held on Tuesday, September 15th at Sunset Beach Internal Medicine, 1733 Seaside Road SW, in Ocean Isle Beach. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Get more information at 843-716-7381.

The Little River Chamber presents the 6th annual "Shrimp and Jazz" festival on the historic waterfront in Little River on October 9th & 10th (Columbus Day Weekend). It's great food, live entertainment and fun for everyone.

Each day, Monday through Saturday, the WNMB Community Calendar keeps you up to date on club, church, civic club and community organization meetings in the North Grand Strand Area. The program is on the air at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m.
Organizations are invited to submit their meeting dates and news for airing by sending an e-mail to wnmb@sc.rr.com
