Just saw the notice that ya'll will be moving back to the ORIGINAL WNMB studios! I think that is terrific.
Being an old-time AM radio fan , I truly hate to see all the FM's essentially renting office space in office parks or shopping centers; not truly
having a radio "station / studio" in my mind!! So glad you guys "get it"!!
I just heard recently that the old WKIX (AM 85) in Raleigh is making a comeback on the AM dial. I listened to them in the early 70's while attending N.C. State.
I believe they went off the air in the early 80's after 25+ years of great ratings. I remember listening to Pat Patterson, Ron McKay, Dale VanHorn and others. Don't know
if you ever knew any of those guys.
Certainly wish we lived a bit closer so that we could attend your Open House! Best of luck with the move.

By the way, my wife Susan loves your TV ad with the Buckingham's song in the background!!

Hello to all,
My name is James Csaszar and have been employed in the radio broadcasting industry for over 30 years now and most recentley with Clear Channel radio in the Cleveland,Ohio area as Chief Engineer and have been in awe listening to your station everytime my fiancee' and I have been to Myrtle Beach now for the past 4 consecutive years.
When I first visited this area in June of 2006, I have always been the inevitable "Dial Twister".........In other words, I just can't keep my hands off the radio "TUNING" control. Looking for any station on the dial, whether it be on AM or FM.
And when I first tuned in WNMB I was in "awe".........First of all by fact that there was still someone out there that has respect for a "GOOD" sounding AM radio station, not to mention the "FORMAT"......Perfect.....and I commend all of you that have kept this format and have also decided to keep AM stereo on the AM dial.
I have been an advocate of good sounding AM radio stations and can recall listening to the BIG rocker in Windsor, Ontario known as CKLW....."The Big 8".........A 50KW DA on 800Khz back in the 60's and 70's and was always intrigued on how good they sounded along with their "tight" rock format. But first and foremost was the quality of their audio processing as is the case with WNMB. You have chosen not to go the aggressive route and to deliberatly clip your audio processor into oblivion to make the station the loudest on the dial. I definitely respect your technical descisions regarding your audio processing.
Respectfully,
Jim L. Csaszar
Clear Channel Radio Cleveland
Chief Engineer
I listen to WNMB every day while I am in my office here in Anderson. We don't have an oldies station anywhere around here that is half as good as you guys, plus I really enjoy keeping up with what's going on at the Beach. Thanks for bringing some great music and ocean waves to the "Electric City!". My family and I are coming to North Myrtle in October.Frank in Anderson, South Carolina

Hey folks!
Just wanted to send along my thanks for what you do. I am travelling around Afghanistan training Afghans as security guards to augment the U.S. Army. But where ever I can get a web connection to bring up WNMB I tune you in. While my family is from the Columbus, Ohio we have spent a lot of time in the N. Mrytle beach area.
When the kids were younger we vacationed there every year. Took my son fishing out of Little River. They're all grown now but my son and I with several friends race/ride motorcycles around Columbia and down at Francis Marion National Forest. In addition, my wife & I head down to Charleston several times a year and then head back up through Myrtle Beach area on our way back to Ohio.
It's neat to hear advertisements for area businesses and know exactly where they are. Yes, we made a lot of good memories there.
And your music is from my generation. Sometimes a song will tug at my heart and bring a tear to my eyes. Especially when I hear a song that reminds me of moment my wife of 40 years and I shared many years ago and it makes me miss her even more.
The show on Sunday morning also brings back memories of growing up and the songs my mom & dad listened to. We're 8 1/2 hours ahead of you so it's my favorite time on Sunday evening. I am also proud that my kids enjoy the old songs too. In fact, my oldest daughter (39) has always loved Glenn Miller. She has had, for several years, a copy of the movie The Glenn Miller Story.
So, thanks again for all you do.
Love you guys, Dale

Guys, your station justs keep getting better every day!! This includes your great web-site! I truly appreciate
all the hard work you put in for us the listener!!

I listened to MUSIC ON AM in Myrtle Beach, SC while visiting there yesterday. I toted my hand-built Meduci 10kHz wideband AM STEREO tuner, and plugged it into a Sony boombox. I tuned 900 WNMB [the oldies station in North Myrtle Beach] in C-QUAM AM stereo – sounded great! I wish there were more stations doing that!
GREAT JOB IN BROADCASTING, Bill. I always enjoy hearing WNMB on my visits to the Grand Strand. You have the only C-QUAM AM stereo station that has ever come-in on my Meduci tuner. I love your music format and full 10kHz audio! You are doing AM radio THE RIGHT WAY! Keep up the good work, Bill!
About 2 weeks ago I started listening to WNMB and in particular your morning show in our office in Statesville, N.C. through the internet. Though North Myrtle and Ocean Drive was a big part of my life in younger days with business and children etc I have not been to the beach at all in past 10 years and have not been to OD or North Myrtle in at least 25 years. My wife takes our boys in July each year but both of us cannot be away from office at same time so I haven’t gone.
Listening to you talk about the beach and some of the old places and locations inspired me to make reservations at Cherry Grove this weekend and go to Mayfest. I cannot thank you enough for this inspiration. This was the first time my wife have gone anywhere “alone” in at least 4 years.
Not only was Mayfest great and we got to sit in the VIP section, being back in that area meant a lot to me. It brought back so many memories. Seeing the OD pavilion, Golden Griddle, Hoskins, etc and just being back where I spent so many summers was just very special. Friday night my wife Tracy and I went and ate in Calabash where I have not been since I was 12 years old and now I’m 48. You know as you get older you lose alittle of your “base” due to old friends either moving or fading away and loved ones passing away. Even though many things have changed in the North Myrtle, OD and Cherry Grove areas, it really did make me feel like I was visiting an old friend or an old family reunion.
I just want to thank you and your station for inspiring me to come back to a place which was always very special in past days. Thanks again for your Mayfest contribution and they asked for recommendations for future acts and may I suggest the group Chicago.
Thanks again for everything and know that you are now a voice in our offices. I am now going to make a special effort to try and make the family beach trip.
Ronny Hawkins from Statesville. N.C.

Hi Bill!
I've been vacationing down here for several weeks this year...I just thought I'd drop you a line to say I really enjoy your station and really enjoy listening to what you have done with it. It's great to hear all the great oldies, and hits that you can't hear anywhere but on WNMB-AM. I may be only 22, but I really enjoy the hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s, along with beach hits. I love them so much I host my own oldies show at my University! WNMB is a great breath of fresh air, and also goes to show that music is alive and well on AM...and in AM stereo! Great to hear you again on my visit!
Take Care,

Six weeks and we'll be heading to Sunset Beach for our annual summer visit! Can't wait!!
Once again this year, we've gotten some great ideas from listening to WNMB (also viewing on-line) for beach activities! Last year, we took a cruise on thr Hurrican Fleet after hearing about it WNMB. What a great time we had; the kids loved it!! This year, we've already planned to eat at Captain Juels Hurrican Restaurant and also visit the Barefoot General Store at Barefoot Landing. Each year ,we get great ideas from all the great sponsors aired on your station and featured on your web-site.
Lets hope the bad storms stay away this summer!! Thanks again to everyone at WNMB for playing all the great music (love the beach music feratured on the weekends!!!) AND keeping us informed of all the great things to do in the North Myrtle Beach area year-round!!

WNMB sounds great! AM Stereo sounds awesome and you have a great variety of music. I've been listening a lot via the internet too. I only wish you had more than 500 watts...5,000 would be nice. And wish you had more live voices on the air. But I love what you're doing...local radio! And music...on AM!!! Nice!
Best regards;
Allen

As a relocated North / South Carolinian I am constantly searching for a station that plays good beach music. I now have found it.
Do you know if there is still a SOS celebration each year. My wife and I enjoyed both the Spring and Fall migration for several years when we lived in Virginia.
Keep playing the good beach music.

Hi there my name is Andrew and I do enjoy your station on the windows media player which is hooked up to my home system. I enjoy hearing your music and best of all other info about your region. When I was younger I was amazed on how far a radio station could travel at night on Am band. That Fm cant give. There was a time a rock station from Toronto went off the air for awhile and I recieved a station from clevland on the fm band! 107.3 clevland cool.Hope to hear from you Im off to work bye for now.
I live in Kernersville, NC and I love your radio station. I am stuck in NC right now and want to be in Myrtle Beach all the time. Your station keeps me going everyday, especially at night while working my 16 hour shift. Until I can move there, I will keep WNMB going all the time. Thank you very much for what you provide for us people that aren't there when they want to be.

Just a quick note for your advertisers.
I own a home in NMB. Which besides vacations, I like to get to for a long weekend each month.
I specifically start listening to your station over the internet about a week before I plan on coming. I'm trying to find out what is happening and I listen to the advertisements for dining or other services. And if you look at the time of this E-mail I can be listening at anytime of the day.
Oh, I enjoy the music too. Only occasionally my foot tapping disturbs others around me.
Bob Bleacher
It’s great to hear your radio station in NY. My father lives in Little River for the past 15 years and we visit him every year for the past 15 years. Last summer I brought my surfboard down only to find out how difficult it i
